Tiaan Fourie

A product of the Sharks academy system in Durban, Tiaan Fourie is a South African scrum-half born on 22 April 2002. Operating at number nine, his game is built on quick, accurate service from the base of the ruck, intelligent tactical kicking and a sharp eye for sniping breaks around the fringes. Fourie has progressed through the franchise's pathway into senior rugby, gaining exposure in the Currie Cup and the United Rugby Championship. Tidy in his decision-making and willing to take on the line when space opens up, he offers the Sharks a tempo-setting half-back option and a link between forwards and backs. Still developing his craft at senior level, he is regarded as one of the promising young nines coming through South African rugby.
