Timeo Frier

Born on 20 September 2007, Timeo Frier is a French back who has come through the academy ranks at ASM Clermont Auvergne. An attacking talent in one of the Top 14's most adventurous squads, he is valued for his footwork, acceleration and willingness to take on defenders in the wide channels. At this early stage of his career, Frier's focus is on bridging the gap between Clermont's youth setup and senior rugby, adding pace and energy to the backline. As one of the younger players on the club's books, he represents part of the next generation Clermont hopes to develop through its renowned pathway, with the long-term aim of establishing himself as a regular contributor in the French top flight. Competing in the Top 14 and, periodically, in European competition, Clermont offer their young backs a demanding environment in which to mature, and Frier's continued progress will depend on seizing the opportunities that come his way.
