Biography
A product of the New Zealand rugby pathway, Tito-Harris Xavier (born 5 January 2005) is a fullback contracted to the Highlanders in Super Rugby Pacific. The young custodian operates as a modern fullback: secure under the high ball, comfortable launching counter-attacks from deep, and capable of stepping into the playmaking line. With a balanced kicking game from both feet, he is able to relieve defensive pressure and pin opposition sides into their own half. His tackling on the last line is dependable, and his footwork allows him to threaten defensive seams in broken-field play. As part of the Highlanders' next generation, Xavier provides depth in the back three and continues to develop alongside the franchise's more senior backs. Time in the wider squad environment has accelerated his integration into a professional set-up, and the Dunedin-based franchise has been grooming him for a longer-term role at the back. His pathway includes age-grade representation within New Zealand's domestic structure, and the 2025-26 seasons mark a meaningful stage in his transition from academy player to first-team contender at the southernmost Super Rugby franchise.
