Biography

Tom O'Toole is an Irish tighthead prop born on 23 September 1998, and one of the most promising front-row forwards to come through the Irish system in recent years. A powerful scrummager with a strong carrying game, he earned his first senior cap for Ireland against Argentina in 2021 and has since continued to push for regular international selection. O'Toole's game is built around set-piece stability at tighthead, physical impact in contact and a willingness to do the hard, unseen work around the ruck. His blend of size, mobility and technical scrummaging makes him a key developing asset in Ireland's front-row depth chart. Still relatively early in his Test career, he has shown the kind of maturity and physicality that mark out long-term international props. O'Toole continues to refine his craft at the highest level, offering Ireland a trusted option in the tight five with a high ceiling for further development.
