Biography
Tommy Freeman has developed into one of England's most dangerous attacking outside backs since breaking through at Northampton Saints. Born on 5 March 2001, he made his senior England debut in 2022 and quickly established himself as a key weapon in the national side's back three. Freeman is renowned for his powerful, direct running, his clinical finishing and an ability to beat defenders both out wide and from broken play. His versatility is a major asset: equally comfortable on the wing or at fullback, he gives his coaches flexibility and a consistent attacking threat across multiple positions. Strong in the air and committed in defence, he combines his offensive output with the work rate expected of a modern back-three player. At club level he has been a cornerstone of the Northampton attack, and his form has made him a regular fixture in the England set-up. Now an established international, Freeman remains one of the most exciting and reliable finishers in the English game.
