Biography
An exciting prospect in the Queensland Reds' back three, Treyvon Pritchard is among the youngest backs in the Super Rugby Pacific squad. Born in April 2007, the Australian is an outside back whose game is built on pace and footwork, the attributes that allow a finisher to threaten space out wide and beat defenders in the open field. Players in this mould offer their side genuine attacking edge, capable of turning half-chances into points when given room to run. At his age, the focus lies on adapting to the speed and physicality of senior rugby while sharpening the core skills of the position, the high-ball work, the kick-chase and the defensive positioning that the modern back three demands. Pritchard forms part of the Reds' investment in young Queensland talent, and his development will be watched with interest as he looks to push for regular opportunities within a competitive back division.
