Biography

Wilco Louw, born on 20 July 1994, is a powerful South African tighthead prop whose scrummaging has become his calling card at the highest level. Earning multiple Springbok caps, he has been valued by coaches for his ability to win set-piece dominance against elite opposition and anchor the tight five in the biggest matches. After building his reputation in Super Rugby and in the Premiership with Harlequins, Louw returned to South Africa with the Bulls, adding experience and set-piece authority to the Pretoria side's forward pack. His game is built on raw strength, technical scrummaging and the kind of physicality that defines top-level tightheads. Beyond the scrum, Louw contributes through tight carries and defensive collisions, accepting the hard graft that his position demands. His international experience and proven track record make him one of the most respected props in the South African game, and a key figure for the Bulls as they compete at the top of both domestic and European competitions.
