Biography

Will Goddard is an Australian prop who has progressed through the development pathway at the NSW Waratahs. A product of the franchise's pipeline, he was named in the Waratahs' Super Rugby Pacific squad for the 2026 season, marking an important step in his bid to establish himself at the top level. Alongside his franchise involvement, Goddard has been plying his trade in Sydney's competitive Shute Shield club competition with Eastwood, the traditional proving ground where many Australian front-row forwards sharpen their scrummaging before senior professional rugby. As a prop, his focus is on the set-piece fundamentals and the physical work around the field that the position demands, building the strength and technique required to compete in Super Rugby. At this stage of his career Goddard remains a developing forward, working to convert squad inclusion into match minutes in one of the southern hemisphere's premier competitions. The Waratahs have long produced front-row talent through their pathway, and Goddard is part of the next generation hoping to follow that route. The coming campaign offers him the chance to push for game time and demonstrate that he can make the step up, with the emphasis on continued development and earning the trust of the coaching staff.
