Biography
Bath winger Will Muir, born on 30 October 1995 in England, has carved out a Premiership career characterised by his power on the ball and a directness in attack that is closer to a back-row carrier than a traditional finisher. Muir's pathway into the 15-a-side game came via England Sevens, where he became a senior figure on the HSBC World Sevens Series before moving full-time to Bath in 2020. Since making the switch, he has built a reputation as a reliable try-scorer in the Premiership and a consistent metre-maker out wide. In 2022 he was named in the senior England squad, recognition of the form he had been producing in the West Country. At Bath, under the coaching of Johann van Graan, Muir has continued to feature prominently in a side that has rebuilt itself into a play-off contender. His combination of sevens-honed footwork, finishing instinct and willingness to do the unglamorous work has made him one of the more dependable wide players in the English game.
