Biography
Schooled in the Exeter Chiefs academy, Zac Wimbush is a back-three player working his way towards the senior ranks at Sandy Park. Born on 24 October 2003, he operates primarily at fullback or on the wing, and is qualified to represent Wales through the national pathway. His attacking flair, allied to a dependable defensive game, has marked him as a prospect of genuine interest for the Chiefs. Wimbush's appeal lies in his counter-attacking threat: comfortable fielding kicks and launching from deep, he looks to turn defence into attack at pace. That backfield security, combined with the ability to finish out wide, gives him a balanced profile for the modern outside back. As a developing player, his role is to add depth and energy to Exeter's back three while continuing to refine the all-round game that could yet earn him recognition at a higher level. With the pace and footwork already evident, the focus now is on adding the consistency that defines an established senior player.
