The United Rugby Championship has its final four, and a transcontinental semi-final weekend awaits on Saturday, June 6.
In the first of the last-four clashes, Glasgow Warriors host the Vodacom Bulls at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, with kick-off at 14:30 local time. The Warriors earned home advantage by seeing off Connacht 33-21 in their quarter-final, while the Bulls produced the most emphatic performance of the round, dismantling Munster 45-14 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
There is silverware history riding on the fixture. Glasgow are chasing a second URC crown, having lifted the title in 2024, and will fancy their chances on home soil at a venue chosen to host their play-off rugby. The Bulls, by contrast, are pursuing a maiden championship after a run of near-misses that has become the competition's defining tale of frustration - three consecutive final defeats in 2022, 2023 and 2024. A fourth shot at the trophy will only sharpen their resolve.
The second semi-final pits defending champions Leinster against the DHL Stormers at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, kicking off at 17:30 local time. Leinster booked their place with a ruthless 59-10 dismantling of the Lions, reasserting themselves as the side to beat. The Stormers, the inaugural URC champions in 2022, return to the semi-finals for the first time since 2023 after a 44-21 victory over Cardiff in Cape Town.
The draw guarantees South African involvement deep into the play-offs, with both the Bulls and Stormers carrying the competition's southern-hemisphere hopes onto northern soil. For the Bulls it means a daunting trip to Edinburgh; for the Stormers, an even taller order against a Leinster machine that has rarely looked more menacing at the Aviva. Premier Sports and SuperSport will carry both fixtures, with the URC's own streaming platform offering coverage to international audiences.
Both winners will advance to the final, with the venue and date to follow once the last-four results are known. For now, the storylines are set: Glasgow's hunt for a second star, the Bulls' bid to finally shed their bridesmaid tag, Leinster's pursuit of back-to-back glory, and the Stormers' attempt to recapture the magic of their 2022 triumph.
